Dobbs Decision

For the past 50 years, Roe had been considered settled. This decision now gives individual states huge amounts of influence in what happens during a woman's doctors appointments. Because often legislation ignores the medical realities of women’s reproductive care, this decision we are facing will come at the cost of women's lives and do irreparable harm to families everywhere.

The government doesn’t belong in the medical choices that women and their families are faced with.

Since the Dobbs decision, the extreme right in the Pennsylvania Legislature has pushed this issue even further by passing SB 106 which has started the process to add a Constitutional Amendment that will ban access to abortion. I stand firmly against this type of legislative action.
